In order to realize our vision, we rely on the help and generosity of community members, who understand and appreciate our aspirations to directly implement the theoretical principles learned in the traditional classroom setting. Your support will directly contribute to the team beyond just helping us win races. It will also:
- Improve undergraduate engineering education through hands-on learning
- Help members become better individuals, workers, and leaders
- Increase members' experience in working on professional teams
- Improve personal skills such as organization, planning, and strategy
- Advance electric and solar vehicle technology
The building and racing of a solar car requires donations in cash and in kind to be successful and will help us achieve our team goals. While the experience for the team is invaluable to members as student engineers, your support will also afford your firm extensive media publicity and coverage, not just in our local community, but also during testing, travel, and racing. This project is not only an excellent educational experience for students, but also an opportunity to promote alternative energies in a positive light.
